Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Are you searching for wisdom on how to align your investments with your faith? This week, we continue our enlightening journey into biblical investing and there’s a powerful lesson waiting for us in Malachi 3:10:
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
A Deeper Look at Malachi 3:10
At first glance, Malachi 3:10 appears to focus solely on giving. But there’s more beneath the surface. In this remarkable verse, God invites us to “test” Him, this is the only time that He allows us to test Him in the Scripture! The promise? If we tithe, He will throw open the floodgates of Heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Giving Is More Than a Transaction
It’s crucial to remember that giving and tithing are not transactions or checkboxes. They are expressions of our love and obedience to the Lord. Our generosity is rooted in our relationship with God not an exchange expecting something in return.
The Key to Successful Investing
Here’s my conviction: faithful giving is also a pre-requisite for successful investment. By honoring God first with our resources, we position ourselves under His favor and provision. It’s not about testing Him out of skepticism, but trusting Him wholeheartedly with what He has entrusted to us.
